Remember the badass crystal brass knuckles made by Debra Baxter? Here are some pieces from her more wearable line DB/CB. On her site she says that the ring above (Aura Quartz Ring) “is so pretty and full of magic, unicorns will follow you around if you wear this.” Haha! I love it.
By the way, also check out her Tumblr, it’s beautiful.

Say hello to my new camera Fujifilm X10. Gone are my iPhone 3G days, regarding pictures for this blog. Looking forward to take a lot of badass pictures of rings, bodychains, necklaces, bracelets, earrings… and a dinosaur every now and then.
Yesterday I was invited to talk about jewellery on the radio show Skumma Kultur at Radio Nova. Being my first time on live radio, I was quite nervous.. resulting in repeating myself for the first 3 minutes. But I got the hung of it as we went along. We talked about my first earrings, whether one can wear a body chain every day or not, and we even tried to put my Bjørg body chain on the radio host Ragnhild. We failed.
They also interviewed Fredrik de Lange, sales assistant at Henrik Vibskov in Oslo, and Karen von Pederstad, jewellery designer with her own label Retusj. Fredrik and Karen were challenged to make a piece of jewellery on the air, and I had to pick a favourite. The materials they got were things you find in that drawer where you have everything you don’t know where to put anywhere else – shoe laces, rubber bands, straws.. The results were quite creative! Fredrik made a minimalistic body chain made out of a shoe lace, a thread and rubber bands, and Karen went for a more avant garde “party” necklace, made out of a simple thread, the metal on a small candle and a huge silver bow. I had to go with my own taste and what I would wear, so I chose Fredrik as the lucky winner!
If you understand norwegian, you can listen to the show here (reprise fra 13.01.2012).

The winner piece! Congrats to Fredrik 😀

After the show we finally managed to get the body chain from Bjørg on Ragnhild. Here she is, striking a pose.
All in all a good day and a fun experience with great people. Cheers!
I was on Radio Nova today to talk about jewellery! It was a lot of fun, even if I was kinda nervous – first time ever on live radio. I’ll tell you more about it tomorrow 🙂
If you’ve read my blog before, you know how much I love Bjørg Jewellery. So you can imagine the joy when I got this amazing double spine ring for xmas.
